capturing video

I have a number of home videos i would like to burn to dvd but dont have a
digital camcorder. Can anyone recommend a good device to use. I have read
reviews on c-net on the dazzler and nobody seemed to like it.

Dazzle is fine. I think any name brand capture device will do the trick, the
more important thing is the software. There are lots of free software
programs available, Microsoft has free software that will let you capture
your video and edit it, put in titles and music or narration, but you need
software that will actually create a DVD movie type disc.
