Is there any way that you can capture and save streaming audio you can
listen to through the internet? I would like to be able to save the file and
listen to the audio later.

You might want to try StreamRipper at
http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/about.php.
It's a plugin for WinAmp and works pretty well.
