Captions and picture movement

As of last week, I switched from WordPerfect (which I have been using my
entire life), to Office 2007. From my limited experience with Word so far,
it appears to me as though Word is not as powerful a program as is
WordPerfect. I hope that somebody here can possibly correct me. My main
problem is this:

In WordPerfect, I can easily insert a photo, right click it, and then click
“create caption.†After doing so, the caption remains pinned to the photo,
so I can immediately move the photo along with the caption. I can also click
“center†to center the caption, and I can then click on “position†to
instantly place the photo (and the caption) wherever I want it.

Because the reports that I write typically contain 7-10 photos, all
captioned and aligned .5" from the right margins, I need a fast method to
accomplish that. It appears to me as though Word requires numerous steps to
accomplish the same thing.

Any help to this newcomer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
