Caption labels

If you delete it, how can you restore the label that is attached to a
textbox as you drag it from the field list. Obviously just dropping a label
there would not be the same as the attached one.

I can only speak for Access 2003:

Place label on form
Enter its caption and leave it
Right click on the label
Click on Properties
A diamond shaped box will attach to the label
Click on this and a box will open offering you the opportunity to associate
the label with a control
Click on the appropriate control

1.. Click the label that you want to attach to a control.
2.. Click Cut on the toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options

on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.).
3.. Click the control that you want to attach the label to.
4.. Click Paste on the toolbar.
