cany copy

Please help

I was having bother with my cdr it would not copy anything for me so I
bought a pioneer 109 dvr and installed it but when i try to copy anything
with Nero or windows media I can get all the way through up to I ask it to
copy and it keeps saying put in blank media and I have put in at least
twenty blank cds but nothing happens. Can anyone help me

I see there are some firmware updates at
http://www.pioneer-eur.com/eur/support_software.jsp?category=support/software#fdvdwriter
Also if you look at
http://www.pioneer-eur.com/eur/product_detail.jsp?product_id=9914&taxonomy_id=43-92
you'll see something about an update for another model that refers to a
problem with seeing the disk when it is inserted.
Of course there's always the chance you got a defective writer.
 
Defective or incompatable media is also a possibility. Have you tried
different brands of CD-R?
