I installed a new hard drive, loaded my original OS
Windows ME then loaded Windows XP upgrade - downloaded
all critical service patches - everything works quite
well except the floppy drive will not access disks - if
you try to access a floppy you are required to format the
disk - a message window pops up stating that Windows was
unable to complete the format - The disk in drive "A"
cannot be formatted - the disk is OK it opens fine in my
other computer running old version of windows - I have
tried multiple disks all come back with the same error
message, yet work on my other computers - I uninstalled
the drive & let Windows find it & install new drivers,
had no luck - still the same message - even changed the
floppy drive - still the same message - any help would be
appreciated greatly.
