Can't Write CD's

52X24X52 CD\RW
512megs Ram
1.5 CPU
The CD writer is set to record in the properties.
I can place files in temp for cd recording, When I click on "Write these
files to CD",
The box comes up saying "insert recordable cd". I have tried Several NEW
cdr's none are able to be written on.
I can use Nero just fine. No problems there. Writes and reads cdr's ok with
Nero.
What could stop XP from writing them with the Writing program built into XP?
 
Write These Files To Cd is for re-writable cd's... if your using a normal cd instead of a re-writable one that will happen.

Perhaps I did not make it clear. I am using CDR'S
Memorex brand, 52 speed, my writer is 52X24X52.
Nero Records Fine. Win XP will not record.

cd instead of a re-writable one that will happen.
 
ive had that problem. ANd if it does work it cannot be
read on other computers or cd players.
