Can't view photos in e-mail

hi,
i just went from windows 98 to vista home premium last week,and so far so
good except that when i am sent pictures to my yahoo mail i can't view them,i
went to my buddies and tried on his computer and then i could view them so i
know it's something in my system blocking these pic's,my buddy has xp .

Using Windows Mail?
Tools - Options - Security
uncheck "Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail"

No it's yahoo mail,thing is i can view them on my win 98 set-up and on my
buddies xp set-up but not on this system,what have i done or not done,i also
have kodak easyshare which can't open them either.
