Can't use search engines....Please HELP

Hi,

When I try to access any search engine I get the following
message:

Are you looking for a search engine?
If you are seeing this page, it is because you have
downloaded a malicious program that is keeping you from
visiting the page you intended.

I've tried running a virus scan and I ran Ad-Aware and
Spybot and I haven't been able to fix the problem.

HELP!!!

I think other people are coming across this, but I don't
see any resolutions on the Microsoft site or any Anti-
Virus site.
 
I just called verizon(my dsl carrier) and they helped me
fix the same problem. they say they dont know the cause
yet. Ive got XP and Here is what I did:
Go To
My computer/c drive/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
then you need to open hosts in notepad.
at the bottom of that page there were several lines
starting with a 64 and ending with search websites
(www.google.com,www.yahoo.com etc.) I had to delete all
the lines that starting with 64.
These entries are what is causing our searches to be
redirected.
It worked!

You have probably contracted a Trojan ...
