cant unisntall programs!

I have programs that i dont want in my computer and tried unintsalling them,
I wentto add and remove programs and clicked on the programs that i wanted to
uninstall and it says cannot open logfile, and if i click on remove it wont
take any action, i also i have file in my hard drive that i wasnt using any
more wich was yahoo messenger and some of the files still remain, when i
tryied to delet it it comes up with an error saying cannot delet even tho
i've unintsalled it add and remove programs

Reinstall the programs, then uninstall them.
