can't uninstall program

i am running winxp sp1 and am experiencing a problem where a program
that i can open and use is not listed in the add/remove programs
dialogue. I would like to uninstall it but don't know how. anyone have
a way of doing this?

What program? An installed program appears in Add/Remove Programs only if
its author wrote an uninstall routine for it and coded it to be there.

If it's not there, you have no other choice but deleing it manually. If the
program is a simple one, that may be fine.
 
You can also try and look in the programs directory and see if Uninstall.exe
or something like it resides there, if not do a search on the net for
uninstall info
