cant uninstall nero

i cant uninstall nero 5 burning rom v5.
the error box says ERROR 1316.
what can i do to get rid of this program
i have tried nero website (no help
i tried uninstalling nero the normal way(no success
please help

Try installing Nero again and then try uninstalling in Add/Remove
Programs.
This type of error sometimes happens when the uninstall files are
damaged or deleted and reinstalling may repair the uninstall files.
