I'm caught in between not been able to uninstall outlook 2002(XP) and not
been able to repair it! I been having some trouble with outlook so decided
to use the repair feature but then I get a message "error1003" and Microsoft
acknowledges that is and bug and to fix this bug I need to upgrade to SP1,
well I also get an error message with no explanation just a " ! " symbol
when trying to upgrade to SP1(from a download or the Office Update link). I
also tried uninstall it and then I get a "Fatal Error". Is there a
solution to this time continuum conundrum.
1. cant repair
2. cant delete
3. cant updated
Maybe the msi installer is corrupted?
Any Ideas will be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Kevin Brenner

Most likely the .msi installer is corrupt. What version are you using?

Milly, Thanks for you response, and yes I thought the same thing a corrupt msi! I was able to delete the office10 in the program folder and delete all references to office 10 in the registry. So when I rebooted the computer and installed Office 10 it all went Ok, now I have a new clean version and new msi

Fixed.

Thanks again.
