Can't Uninstall An Application

I am trying to uninstall an application through the Add/Remove Programs functionality in the Control Panel. I get an eror message back that says the INSTALL.LOG file cannot be found. This also happens when I try to uninstall directly from the application

Is there any way to overcome this problem?

Reinstall it, then UNinstall.
 
I re-installed the application and tried to uninstall it, but I received the same error message. Actually, the error message stated INSTALL.LOG could not be opened, not that it could not be found. What should I do now?
