I was working to fix a problem and uninstalled a program.
Next, I edited the Register and found my Cd drives would
not work. Therefore, I used System Restore to go back a
day and the drives are now functional. However, the
program and its shortcuts have also been restored but it
will not function properly. When I go to the Add/Remove
Programs, the program is listed but it will NOT uninstall
because the "install.log" is missing.

How do I uninstall the remnents of this program?
Or
How do I get this program reinstalled so it will work?

First, try reinstalling if it fixes the problem. If not, post back - you'll
need to remove it in the registry (not a good first step unless you really
know what you're doing).

Undo the restoration, which should be an option in System Restore. You
could then use Add /remove to uninstall the program. But you may be
able to correct the problem with the CD, so once restored try that - To
tidy up, get a registry patch file, cdgone.reg, from
www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click on it and merge
it into the registry

You will then need to reinstall any burning software that you use.
