I was happily excited about breaking into the literary world. But when I
tried to store my first chapter of the sequel, I got error messages:
"incorrect function" and then "you do not have access to the folder 'E:\;
See your administrator for access to this folder." Nothing I tried helped. I
need to store to disks such that I can revisit for revisions to the work and
make or update backup. This was not a problem on y very old computer which
used 3.5" floppies, primitive though it was. I do not know what I have been
doing wrong. But I desperately need help to solve this problem.
I MUST WRITE OR I WILL LOSE MY WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY TO PUBLISH. PLEASE HELP
ME, SOMEONE, ANYONE OUT THERE?

Save the file to "My Documents" then COPY it to the CD drive in Explorer
for backup purposes.

You might try using something like a USB flash drive - CDs are often
one-shot deals. A flash drive will last a fairly long time, it's reusable,
and you can even work right off the drive, with very little loading time.
They're cheaper than CDs in the long run, too - you might be able to get a
128 MB drive for $20 or less.

Why not work off the hard drive? Hell of a lot less hassle. Then copy or
move to CD or keydrive.

I meant this link http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/saving_files_to_cd.htm Or
you can always save the files to your hard drive and then copy them to CD-R
using XP's built in burning software.

The issue is that Windows can not write directly to CD from within an
application like MS Word. To do that you need third party software like
InCD. However read here and you will find some work around ideas
