When I try to view say, a jpg file attachment, I get the option that allows
me to disable "always check before opening this file type". I can uncheck
it a hundred times a day a ... but it continues to display. How can I stop
this dialogue box from displaying. It's making me crazy. It's been
happening forever.

Can anyone help?

I too notice this. Apparently it has been in every
windows release since IE came out. I think the scenario
must simply be that since it looks like a good tweak, that
as an option available for the user to excercise control
over, that it somehow improves the product. Perhaps
regedit.exe could have some dark role in removing this
useless and misleading advertisement, errr, "option"

I've only used Outlook since Office XP first came out. It's unfortunate bad
that this hasn't been remedied if it's existed since IE came out ... that's
a long time.
It's definitely annoying. I'm glad that I'm not the only one that noticed
it, but it would be nice to not have it to complain about.
Thanks for responding.
Happy New Year.
