Suddenly I find that I am unable to get Internet Explorer to start on my
windows XP computer. I get an error window as with any application asking if
I want to send the error report to microsoft or not. If I select yes, it
sends and then tries to open an IE window (maybe with some information),
however since IE wont start that just leads to another failure and a new
request to send debug info to microsoft. Unless I select 'dont send', this
just continues. I had considered reinstalling IE, but before I did that I
decided to try a different browser. So I installed Mozilla firefox browser
and it also will not start, so I dont think IE itself is the problem. Not
sure what additional details I can provide to help analysis of this problem.

I've this problem before on my system of Windows ME (former), but because the
system was really destroyed terribly, I decided to repair the computer. But
before that, I reinstalled IE, but it said it failed midway, so it caused
many problems, alerts during startup saying setup was not complete, then I
continued but it always said it failed... I got this problem because I once
went to my friends' blog which always prompted me to install an add-on for
IE, but I declined, but the invitation kept popping up, but I still declined,
but I do not know why, although I declined, but I had problems from that day
onwards. The blog owner said that it popped up, but it doesn't cause that
much problem, because she also have experienced the pop up. Problems are such
as when I opened control panel, it said there is a script error, same thing
for when I am printing. Because of that, it drove me crazy so I decided to
repair ME, but I like XP, so I bought XP and installed it.

So I don't recommend you to reinstall XP, why not send your computer for a
repair? You are lucky to have me replied, you should play safe, send your
computer for a repair, if the techinician decided to reinstall XP, let him do
it, but anyway the decision goes to you. ~Irresponsible for any loses or
mishaps of your computer.~
