Can't start program in Control Panel after install XP SP2

Please help!!!

I couldn't start any program under Control Panel after
installed XP SP2 and I even couldn't uninstall the SP2
since I couldn't startup Add/Remove Program.

Michael,

if nobody comes forward with a specific solution, then maybe
your second last resort is a repair installation of Windows XP.
You need a slipstream CD or slipstreamed files on disk for that,
as the original Windows XP refuses to be installed over an
installation with SP2.

one afterthought---the web link in my previous message also
contains hints at how to uninstall SP2.
