cant start computer

Hi some please tell how to start computer. What happened was , i was trying
to get my new broadband connection going, I clicked on >Internet Protocol
( tcp/ip ) in connection settings ,then it installed, then shut copputer
down when restarted it wants my >username and password . i have never used
password or username to open computer. i can get into Bios setup and by
pressing F8 < pop up comes up giving me a choice to chose from But my

You must be using someone elses computer to get on?

If your talking about the windows login screen and you never setup a
username password, try just clicking ok.
Sounds like your using windows NT? Which is a bit strange for someone who
doesn't know that your supposed to use your keyboard after pressing F8 or Del
