I'm running Outlook 2002 under Windows XP Pro. I've got
my personal (Comcast) e-mail going successfully to an
Outlook account, and am trying to set up a 2nd Outlook
account for my work e-mail. My work e-mail uses Outlook
also, via a Virtual Private Network (NetScreen-Remote).

Outlook keeps saying my password is wrong, yet I've
checked ALL of the account parameters NUMEROUS times
already.

Thanks,
Charles

How are you trying to set up this account? Specific steps are helpful for
troubleshooting. Are you using Outlook profiles for setting up this second
mail account?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Charles asked:

Yes;
I created a 2nd profile, this time selecting exchange
server vs. POP3.

I checked with my office, who gave me the exchange server
settings...they can't explain why this doesn't work.

The VPN sets up fine, but then this problem with
authentication happens every time.
