Can't set From field programmatically

I am using the Outlook 10 object model in vb to
automatically send customized messages. evrything appears
to work except that my messages fail sending because the
Sender field is blank. Since the Sender property of the
MailItem object is read-only, how do I set it?

I have a profile set up for use by the program, which is
valid when using Outlook.

Please help!

If you are using Exchange, set the SentOnBehalfOfName property. If you are
using SMTP, you can set a special named property using Extended MAPI, CDO
1.21 or Redemption (no Outlook Object Model):
