I am having problems sending email, it has worked fine all week but
today will not let me send. I am still able to recieve though.

I have spoken to Sky (isp) who told me I am not able to use my email
with my domain and their smtp, even though I have all week!?

I keep being asked to enter email and password but it won't authorize.
I have noticed on another thread that mcafee isn't always that good with
vista, could this be problem?
I have also tried using auth.smtp too but not having any luck as well
as checking authencation box.

I have disabled mcafee email scan but still no joy.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Most of the McAfee antivirus programs must be uninstalled, not
just disabled, to stop them from causing problems. This also applies
to most of the Norton antivirus programs and a recent program
from Trend. For more cleanup, you also need to run this cleanup
tool:

<http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=107083&lc=4105&partner=McAfee&type=TS&ia=1>

You may even have to remove your email account under
Windows Mail, then create it again for more cleanup.

Take the Sky part of your setup from these instructions:

http://www.sky.com/Assets/PDF/StaticFiles/720010.pdf

http://emailupgrade.sky.com/popchanges/PopChangesSNS.pdf

There's a chance that Sky and your domain's email server have
different requirements on whether you should enable SSL.
Also, see if you can determine which server is asking for
your username and password. They may even want different
usernames and passwords for you.

If you can't read .pdf files, download and install the software
to do it here:

Avoid installing the Google Toolbar - it causes problems in
Windows Mail.
