I cannot send email through outlook and its getting quite old... I was able
to... but one day it just stopped... Whenever I send a message now, it says
"connected" and will stay that way forever until I hit stop or something
times out, or armageddon comes.

I've tried the mailserver for that domain, other mail servers, my isp mail
server... all have the same reaction... I'm on a network but the other two
computers on the network send and recieve just fine... What could be the
problem? I've tried everything.

I would assume this is a POP account I.E.
(e-mail address removed).
Your Email host could have made one simple change to their
server that requires you to authenticate before sending.
OR
Your ISP does not relay. Try sending using their SMTP
settings.

What is the eventual error?

R

Does not relay?

I've seen that error from this occasionally so what does that mean? Would be
a great help if you could explain.

I've tried using every mail server I have access to, using authentication
and not... tried using my isp server.. all fails..

Do you have virusscanner of firewall installed on that system? If so disable
them and see if it works then. If so reconfigure the firewall and/or
virusscanner.
