I am a yahoo email user. When I try to email someone while on the internet
the windows email program comes up, not yahoo. When I attempt to send an
email from windows I continue to get an error message. I have tried to set
up email through windows, but am still not having any luck. Where can I get
specific directions to set up and troubleshoot for windows email? I also
need to know where to find incoming/outgoing information for yahoo in order
to set up the windows email.
Thanks,
Patrice

You need a premium Yahoo account to do it.

US-based free Yahoo accounts have web access only, no POP access,
which means you can't use Yahoo with an email program unless
you pay Yahoo for a premium account called Yahoo Mail Plus.

Alternatively, you can make Yahoo webmail your default email
service in Vista, so that clicking on an email link on a web page
won't bring up Windows Mail:
