cant send email but can recieve!

pls excuse my ignorance but i can receive mail no problem and for a while it
was sending ok, but now I cannot send out mail when I do it comes up with
this:

Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your
outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message,
contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

i have tried to change my account settings but to no avail. 'my outgoing
server requires authentication' is on. any help would be much appreciated
thanks in advance...!
 
Your setup is wrong for the SMTP. Since we do not know which ISP is in question it
is best that you contact them yourself and get the correct settings to enter
