It seems to me that microsoft has a problem sending e-mails,by looking at the
various threads all seem to be saying the same thing and all faults seem to
have develpoed within the last coulpe of days, perhaps it could be due to an
update from windows vista that may be causing the problem.I have Incredimail
installed on the same computer and this is working ok and uses the same
settings so if someone is reading this from microsoft please sort this
out.Anybody think the same

I agree. So glad to see so many people having same problem.....I'm not
incompetent! See no answers, however.............appreciate hearing of any.

Please post any error message you get, here.
Right-click on it, and select Copy. Then paste it into a reply, along with
a description of what you are doing.

I've seen no sign that anyone from from Microsoft has been reading this
newsgroup for the last few months. The answers come from volunteers
who don't work for Microsoft instead. However, we often need better
problem descriptions to recognize what the problems are.

In this newsgroup, we offer support for the Windows Mail program that
comes with Vista, but not for Incredimail. If you don't like Windows
Mail, you can try Windows Live Mail:

http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview

The support for it is mostly over in another newsgroup, though:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

If you need help with Incredimail you will need to go to their
users forum. This newsgroup can only support the Windows Mail
program. If you would like help with Windows Mail, post your
complete error message.

I'm trying to send pictures from my old PC with XP to Vista.
The attachment is removed and the body of message is a lot of text.
I tried to reset the security and unchecked the receive attachments --no
help. I have not tried to send a photo yet --do a lot of this.
Appreciate advice.

On the Vista machine, start Windows Mail, then click on Tools, then
Options, then Read. If there's a check mark in the box before Read
all messages in plain text, click on this box, then Apply. Click on OK,
then restart Windows Mail and see if those messages now show up
with shorter text and an attachment.
