can't send e-mail

I have Window Vista and am using the Windows Mail. For the last few days
(after having worked just fine before) I cannot get any e-mails to be sent
out. I am not getting any error messages. It acts like they are going, but
they are not. I have called the cable internet support group but they had no
solutions for me.
please help.

If the outgoing messages are piling up in your Outbox, but not going on
to the Outgoing mail server, try to move all of then to the Drafts folder
or delete them. Tell us if any of them refuse to do either.

If you can empty the Outbox this way, send yourself a message and tell
us what happens.
