I've tried the tip in the help guide, but it doesn't seem to work, I can
receive email, but not send any myself... I've got a new computer so I
haven't used windows mail before, but didn't have this kind of problem with
outlook!

Please copy and paste any error messages that you get when you try, to your
reply.

I cannot copy for some reason so will typ it
'Your Server has unexpectiedly terminated the connection. Possible causes
for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Error Number 0x800CCC0F'

I have contacted my service provider and they say it may be my antivirus, I
try following the directions they give but paths they give are not the same
on my Trend Micro Antivirus.

Help!!!

A recent version of a Trend antivirus program (details not available) tends
to cause problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately.
To stop it from causing problems, you have to uninstall it, not just
disable it. Most versions of Norton or McAfee antivirus programs
do the same.

For a replacement antivirus program, you may want avast! or AVG,
either one preferably with a custom install that tells it to leave out
the part that scans email:

You are "tagoo" I assume?

The error indicates a dropped connection.

I too suspect that your AV application is causing it?
See, and try:
