Company has Exch 5.5 (don't think it's 2K) and most users have Office XP Pro.
When I had that, I could see Public Folders. My machine was upgraded to Win
2k3 pro sp1. I don't think anything changed on the back-end. Now, I can not
see any of the public folders. Was curious to know if anything needs to
change on my client machine. Thanks. Gus

do you still have outlook 2002 or did they upgrade it to 2003? Are you using
the folder list (Ctrl+6)?

Diane... Thx for the quick reply. I only have one component of 2002 - the
shortcut bar so that I can have that toolbar which is no longer in 2003.
Other than that, I have 2003. I did look at the Folder List - and I did see
the public folders, but I get an error message when I click on an item in
them.

Diane...

The error is: Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook could
not access the specified folder location. The operation failed.

When I was in Office XP, I was able to see the public folders. Thoughts?

Thanks.

They only upgraded your computer, not the exchange server?

None of the folders work? if it's only one or some, but not all, I'd
probably guess views... but "could not access the specified folder location"
sounds more like it's an exchange issue.

There is an article in the KB (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=814556)
but it doesn't sound like your problem either.

Diane... thanks... so how can I troubleshoot this? Also, interestingly, I
found that I could add the Public Folder Calendars to my Favorites to view
them IFF I changed to use Cached Exchange Mode. But doing so I was not able
to see my new email. Figuring new email was more important, I switched back
the settings and now can't see the Public folders. Thoughts?

Thx
