I just got another laptop and when I open Windows Mail, I can see my messages
in the lower pane, but when I double click them to make them bigger, they
disappear and I get nothing. Then if I click on that, the window just turns
black. It also does this when I try to open any window such as "Options"
etc. I found that when I want to reply, I get a black window that opens, but
if I drag it to minimize it so that it is about 2" square, then I can finally
see it. But there's no room to see what I'm writing!! And this does not
work for other windows like options, properties, etc. What is the deal? I
am so sick of Microsofts "support" (pshaww) webpage. It helps with NOTHING.
I suppose it does help a dumba** who doesn't know how to hit SEND. I can't
even get their e-mail support to work because they say my product ID is not
valid. OMG!!!! I typed it 4000 times. I am going crazy. Does anyone else
have this black screen issue? PLEASE!!! HELP ME!!!

Please list which third party security products you are running,
such as antivirus, anti-spam, anti-spyware, etc.

I am running McAfee Security Suite and then Windows Defender but I'm not
sure if that is 3rd Party.

Windows Defender is a Microsoft app and is fully compatible.
Not so with your McAfee app, however. I suggest that, as a test
you completely uninstall that McAfee Security Suite, reboot, then
try Windows Mail again. I think you will be surprised!

I am four days into a new Toshiba with Vista. That came pre-installed with
Mc Affee

When I first open Windows Mail it works properly for a while.

Then, all of a sudden, if I try to Reply, Forward, Open a message, or check
the properties.
a window pop open, but it is blank. Just the outline is there, and there is
nothing I can do.

Closing the program and re-opening it does nothing.

If I completely re-boot it works for a while again, the the problem
re-occurs.
