Check the following:

Go to Control Panel and double click the System icon.
In System Properties, click on the Hardware tab.
In the Drivers section, click on the Windows Update button.
Make sure "Ask me to search Windows Update every time I connect
a new device" is selected.

Keep in mind that it's best to rely on the manufacturer's web
site when you're looking for updated drivers. I've never been a
big fan of installing drivers that are offered through Windows
Update.

Good luck

You should never get hardware driver updates from the windows update site
unless it's a Microsoft hardware product. For non Microsoft hardware, which
is the majority, go to the device manufacturer's web site if it's a retail
device, the computer OEM's tech support web site for the large OEMs like
Dell and HP, or the motherboard manufacturer's web site if it's an on board
device.

Do not update drives just to have the latest, particularly if the system is
running well. Only update drivers if there is a problem or the new driver
has some must have feature.
