Hello,
I have been running Microsoft Picture it 2.0 under XP without any problems
until now... Suddenly I can't save files as a JPG anymore. I found this
article on Windows website which seems to answer the question. BUT IT
DOESN'T mention how if it will work with XP...

What I am nervous about is screwing around with the newer version of MS
Picture it that I also run. As amazing as it is I actually prefer this
older version of Picture It for applying Copyrights to photos. It lets me
set the images size and the JPG compression all on the same screen and it
saves these settings until I change them.

By the way if I am in the wrong newsgroup for this question please point me
to the right one...

I can also be reached via my website at www.photogshangar.com...

i'm not sure but i think jpg is an older windows version and you need to save
it as a
tif image

Many thanks and my apologies for posting without looking deeper into the
problem...
I tried the solution offered by the article, as I noticed the date of the
file corresponded with the date of the system files for Picture it 2.0. So
such I removed the offending file un-installed Picture it 2.0 and then
re-Installed it from the ground up. The result I can once again scale down,
and save copyrighted JPGs the same way as before...

Rather Ironic isn't it? Here I am with Adobe, a pair of Canon DSLR cameras,
and yet I still prefer this borderline obsolescent version of Picture It
for scaling down my images, and putting the copyrights on them.

Oh well...

Again many thanks,

Andrew TAT
