can't run some programs

Hi!
Recently I reset(restored) my laptop and after reloading programs when I try
to run some of them I get message"Component 'MCI32.OCX or one of its
dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid".I
checked "system32" directory and in fact there is no such file.Any suggestion
what I should do now?(I'm not familiar with any kind of computer programming)

I also have a problem with an .ocx. I am running under Windows XP and get the
message SPR32X30.ocx - file is missing or invalid. What can I do?
