Can't run scanner on XP HE

Hello!

I bought a scanner for my husband this Christmas, not
realising there are different Windows XP's (i.e.
Professional and Home Edition). I didn't even know our
operating system WAS Home Edition until I found I
couldn't load the scanner software.

Is there any way of solving this problem? I cannot
return the scanner and purchase one that runs on HE as it
was second hand, and it is not the sellers fault that I
have the wrong operating system.

Our computer was bought with OEM software and programmes -
does that make a difference?

Failing this, would any one like to buy a lovely HP 2200c
scanner for £25 + £9 p&p!!!!?

Go to www.hp.com and look for updated drivers for your model of scanner. No
real differences between Home and Pro for home users... and no reason I can
think of that the scanner doesn't work.
