My profile has been corrupted somehow. Windows can't load it and I receive an
error message. I have attempted to copy the files to a new profile, but one
file would not copy: Ntuser.dat

THis of course, has all the data. Windows couldn't copy it, said it was
corrupted.

Any advice?

you cannot copy that file from an account that is in use ...

logon with an administrators account (other than the one you are trying to
copy)

Do what Haggis wrote with regards to copying that file while signed in with
another account, but the account that you are trying to copy the ntuser.dat
file from must not have been signed in since last reboot. You can't just log
off and log in as an alternate user, you must reboot first. If you just
logout and login as another user, that file will still not copy and say it is
in use. Just an FYI.

Thanks, but I have done that. Windows can't copy the file. I receive the
following error message:

Cannot copy NTUSER: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
