Hi, I am trying to restore my computer back to it's factor condition.
However, my System Restore was turned off and I can't go back any ealier than
today. What should I do? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

System Restore was never designed to restore a system to it's original
state.
Here is a description of System Restore:

What you are looking for is recovering the system. Most computer
manufactures store the files needed to do this in a recovery partition
on the hard drive. Some ship with a recovery CD(s). The documentation
that came with the system should have this information. What make system
is it?

No directions or recovery disk came with my Dell 3000 desktop unfortunetly.
They sent me some CD's after I called but none of them are labeled "restore."
They are labeled "Reinstallation for Windows XP", "Reinstalling Dell Tools
System Software" and "dell Dimention resource CD." What should I do? Thank
you.
