Ok I have windows xp media edition. Everytime time I try to restart I get
message after message saying Something about Dr watson and click here to end
now. It never Ends. I bet at least 50 times I have to click end now. can
anyone please help cause this is really getting aggravating

Something to try,

On the Start-Run line, type: DrWatson and hit return
You should get a little window saying either - No Faults detected or
something else.
follow the screen prompts if there is another message,
Click OK and it should drop down to your task bar.
Right click it and select close to delete it.

Thanks Jerry It said No faults detected. It happens when I try to restart My
computer. Everytime it pops up that box and says please click here to end
now. I just dont know anymore suggestions. I appreciate all your help

This is a bit of a mystery.
Try the following:

On the Start-Run line, type: SFC /SCANNOW and hit enter,
Have your XP CD ready to install for references.
This will correct any missing or corrupt files.

If this doesn't do it, you can try a repair install, that actually
re-installs XP,
But saves all your programs.

Jerry- I cannot access Start-Run to try this...I already spent 3.5 hours on
the phone with tech assistance doing regchks, restoring to previous points,
etc., and I still have the problem in safe or regular mode: I open, log on,
odd desk top now loads (did not before), big warning sign comes on telling me
to restore active desk top, etc., but I cannot use anything- even Task
Manager fails to respond after a few moments. The system freezes and Dr.
Watson's error message comes on. I did manage to scan the computer today, and
scan was clean. I had to turn back on security and firewall, as they were
disabled for some reason. Sounds like the old AceBot?? Help- I know nothing
about computers and prefer to keep it that way...and no, there are no backups
so a clean install is not a happy thing. Thanks so much...
