Can't resize column

I can't resize my columns in mail. Why would that be? Specifically I'm
trying to make the column showing the folders a little wider. I know that's
possible. But somehow WinMail won't let me do it now.

Place the cursor over the right edge of the Folders pane so that it becomes
a double arrow. Hold down the left button and move it.

For some reason it wasn't letting me. It did just now, but I had a lot of
difficulty getting the double arrow. Something else just happened that was
odd too. I went to spell check and I got an error message saying the
language (English) was no longer available. So I hit send. Then I went to
the outbox and opened the email again and it would let me check spelling.
Strange!

Another way in Vista to do that, is to go to>right click any of the column
headings>Customise, and set the size in Pixels?

Go to tools>options>spelling tab, on the drop down for Languages, select one
of the others available>apply.
Then do the same again and select English>apply/OK.

we complained about that during the beta and they said they weren't allowed
to widen that line.

In the main window go to Tools " Options " Spelling and change to French.
Click Apply. Now change back to English and click Apply.
