When I'm typing a web address in Internet Explorer the AutoComplete list
gives a list of sites that I've visited before. I'm trying to get rid of
some of these showing up. I know that I can switch off AutoComplete by
going to Internet Options\ Content\ AutoComplete... but I'd like to keep is
switched on.

When I clear the history it's supposed to clear the AutoComplete web
addresses list, and when I do it most of the sites do get removed, but there
a few sites that always remain in the list.

Does anyone know of a way to completely reset the AutoComplete list?

Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks.

Open your registry and find the key below and delete any value you want to
remove.

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs]

Restart Internet Explorer for the change to take effect.

Note you can save the registry key first by:
On the File menu, click Export.
In the File name box, type SaveKey, and then click Save.
Or create a system restore point prior to editing.
Note: If the registry key is not there, you can simply create one by going edit
