Can't remove program

We recently installed a CamMaestro digital camera incorrectly. It caused our system to crash in a big way. I need to delete the software and start over. However, I can not remove the program using change/remove program. It just refuses to be deleted. I have even tried to use system restore to wind back, to before I installed the camera. This also refuses to work

If I try to just reinstall the software, the driver does not load

I have tried loading the software on another computer. It works perfectly. So I think we have done something to stuff our computer

Please help.

Hi

In some instances some software can be uninstalled via Safe Mode as opposed
to 'Normal' Mode. Give that a whirl and see what happens.

Hi

Reboot - and then start tapping F8 straight away.

| I can't go to safe mode using the F8. The prompt for select mode does not come up

sometimes, even though you use the add/remove utility, there are aparts of the program left in the registry
Read the MS Knowledge Base article I have provided. But, please, read it carefully, and follow the instructions exactly. You, of course, will be looking for anything related to your CamMaestro
If you have any questions about editing the registry, post back BEFORE you do anything, and ALWAYS backup your files before you make changes to the registry

Hi

Unless you use a specialised program to distinguish between 'before and after' Registry entries, you are stymied. A manual edit in some circumstances is advantageous, but only to those who completely understand how the Registry works.
