Can't remove Hotfix

I have a problem with an application. Their tech claim
that the problem is caused by XP hotfix 824141. However
my system won;t let me delete the hotfix. I don;t have
the option to remove from add/remove programs even though
it's on the list. I also don't have the uninstall
directory in the windows folder.

Please respond if anybody know how to manually remove a
hotfix.

If the uninstall backup is not present in your windows

folder I think your out of luck
 
I'm immediately suspicious of any app that requires that you remove a needed
security hotfix in order to run properly. What program is this?
