Can't reinstall Norton after upgrading to XP

I just upgraded to XP Professional from Windows 98. I uninstalled Norton Internet Security 2004 and when attempting to reinstall I get a message that says "This MSI must run from setup" I click OK but then another message comes up that says an error has been encountered and installation cannot be completed. What do I do to install Norton?
 
Have you checked out the KB base on the Symantec site?

This is the issue with windows x
Install windows xp sp2.It has msi 3 and after it you will be able to install norton on computer without any error
