Can't reinstall after using Add/Remove Program to remove program

I used the Add/Remove Program CP to uninstall the Viewer and Recorder Utility
for a Linksys Internet Web Camera. At the end of the Remove process I
received a message that not all components had been removed. As I had gotten
this notice before and ignored it with no problems, I ignored it again.
As I try to reinstall the Viewer utility, I receive a message stating that
installation failed because the utility is already installed and that I must
uninstall the existing version first.
I can only assume that my problem lies with the items which were not removed
when I uninstalled the program.
How do I determine what and where those items are in order to remove them
and have a successful reinstall?
Responses to "(e-mail address removed) as well as to this forum would be
appreciated.

You open Explorer and look for the folders the programs were installed into
and delete them. Then, the hard part, you run regedit and search for the
programs and delete them from the registry. If you mess this part up you may
totally screwup Windows so don't edit the registry unless you're very sure
you know what you're doing.

Have you rebooted since doing the uninstall? There may be items that could
not be removed because they were still running. Once you reboot they
shouldn't start up again.

Other than that, Look for the folder on your hard drive where the program
was stored and delete it (or at least rename it), reboot, and try again.

After that it's contact the manufacturer.

Call Linksys at Tech Support 1-800-326-7114 and I am sure they can resolve
your problem. Their tech support has always been great.
