can't receive mail (outlook Express)

Since noon today I haven't been able to receive mail via outlook express. I can go online through my verizon account and view it, but can't get it in express. Anyone else having this problem?
 
Any error messages? What exactly happens?

HI there I am having a similar problem. I have 35 emails backed up because Outlook wont load the secnd email I have waiting to load, I get a an immediate timed out error message, have you been able to rectify your problem? I have checked for Sasser virus but thankfully that is not the cause. Are you able to view emails before they are in your inbox? Thnks Bonni

Turn off e-mail scanning. You will still be protected.

Hi,

Have you checked wit hVerizon yet on the status of their mail server? If you
made no system changes, the problem may not be on your end. Click
tools/options/maintenance, then enable logging for email. After trying to
connect, check the log file that is created and see what it tells you about
the attempt.

I use Outlook and I'm having the same problem. I can't download my e-mail messages from the Frontier server. I have spoken with a CSR from Frontier and he says the problem is on my end. No error messages are received. I can connect to the server, but the messages will not download. Also having a problem accessing some websites using IE6. Can someone please help?????
