I use to be able to send a copy of an email to myself. Now when I do, it
never arrives. Has anyone had this problem?

GMail? No it doesn't. And why would you want to? You have a copy in your
Sent folder....

I need to copy myself on emails because I work in two locations and need to
have a new copy in my inbox. I am using Microsoft exchange and Outlook 2003.
This is a new problem for me - the past week or so - where I cannot send
myself emails. What is the solution?

I've had this same experience since switching to a provider that is partnered
with Gmail. I like to have a copy come back to see how it displayed to other
recipients because sometimes what I show as sent isn't what shows on a
recipients screen.

Is this a Gmail issue or has anyone discovered a work-around?

This is most definitely a Gmail issue. Perhaps they do this to save bandwidth.

In any case, Gmail intuitively scans the recipients of an email address and matches them against the sender's email address. It allows only one copy of an email to exist relative to that single email address.

So, if you are the 'sender', you cannot also be the 'recipient.'

The only workaround I'm aware of is to use a secondary email account for the cc
