can't read floppy

Recently, I was having problems with the button to insert floppy disks, a computer tech came in and he fixed the problem and left. Now when I put a disk in ( tried several) it says to insert a disk or that the drive is not ready when there is a disk in. Device manager says everything working properly. Any suggestions.
 
Do you know what your computer tech did. The drive may be faulty or not
connected up correctly perhaps he should come back and finish the job
properly.

Check the cables to see if they are loose. It could be misaligned or something. May be time to replace. Good luck.
