I guess I have so many programs in my Program display, that I can' read the
last columns. Is the only way I could read the last column, to make the
resolution higher? I'm at 1024xxxxx but don't like to go any
higher.....Peter

What is Program Display? Do you mean Start, All Programs?

If so then try this:

1) Right-Click on Task Bar (or start button)
2) Properties
3) Advanced
4) Scroll down the Start Menu Items list and look for "Scroll Programs"

Now change this item i.e. remove the tick.

You can "check on" the "scroll" programs in the "Start Menu" properties. This
will set the Programs into one column with two arrows at each ends. By moving
the mouse to one of the arrows, the Program list will scroll up/down.

Right click on the Start Button, select Properties, Customize, Advanced tab,
uncheck Scroll Programs in the Start Items list and OK it. Your Programs will
show in 2 or 3 columns now. You might want to select Small Icons in the Start
Menu, too.
