cant play my player

i got an error massage when i try to play the media
player. it says "the file wmp.dll has a version number of
9.0.0.2980 where 9.0.0.3008 was expected".
anybody knows what is that suppossed to mean?

Have you recently done a System Restore? You have an older dll file (the
2980) in the Windows\System32 folder and it's looking for a newer one.

You can probably resolve your problem by reinstalling Windows Media Player
from:
