cant play burned cd from movie maker on my dvd player

please help me i am new to all this and cant seem to be able to play movies i
have made and burned on my dvd player,help

Not all DVD Players (stand alone - home entertainment system components) can
play all media types (DVD+/-R or DVD+/-RW, CD-R, CD-RW, etc) - so your DVD
player may not be able to play the type of DVD you burned onto.
 
The dvd player has to be to be 'high-mat' compatible. I think some panasonic
ones are but I have found it difficult to identify dvd players that specify
this compatibility.
